In a match that was way closer than it should have been, Team Canada’s junior women edged Costa Rica 3-2 (25-15, 21-25, 22-25, 25-19, 15-10) yesterday in the opening round of pool play at the NORCECA Championships in Mexico.

Well, this week’s tournament in Marseille is the last chance for Canadian beach duo Mark Heese and Ahren Cadieux to qualify for the Beijing Olympics.
